When planning a funeral or celebration of life, I understand the importance of preparing and presenting an individually prepared ceremony. The words we share will reflect on the life of the person who has died, celebrate and pay tribute to their achievements and contributions, and acknowledge your grief. I know sharing and celebrating the life of your loved one will help comfort and uplift you. I believe the service should help you as the bereaved, to live through your feelings, to recognise the reality of death, to accept the loss of your loved one and to resume your lives without their presence – as they would want you to do.
How I can help
To ensure that the service is everything you would wish for I will:
meet with you in your home to discuss what you would most want and to guide you if the decisions seem too difficult
communicate with you freely via email, phone or text as often as you need
listen carefully to your wishes and write a ceremony that reflects them. I will email you this in draft form so that you can be sure that it is perfect for you. I will make changes according to your wishes
work with family and friends who will be part of the service, to ensure that all goes smoothly and calmly
work with other professionals on the day to provide the music or rituals that you have chosen.
